Our individual liberty and personal freedom are in jeopardy as never before. The threat is not external, but comes from within – from the White House, members of the administration and the Democrat party-controlled Congress. Their socialist agenda threatens to transform the United States from a representative republic to a socialist state.
The mainstream media, Democrat party, labor unions, trial lawyers and left wing extremists are with them every step of the way. They see in the socialist policies of the administration a way to achieve their own social, economic and political agendas, with little regard for the security and well-being of The People, The Constitution of the United States and the country as a whole.
The Stoopid Sheep among us, not thinking past their bumper stickers, still believe this is a left-right or Democrat-Republican thing. They think unprecedented Government expansion, empty rhetoric and fiscal irresponsibility are just politics as usual. That Government control of financial institutions, the auto industry and possibly even healthcare, while somewhat troubling, is not really all that bad.
Fortunately, it is becoming clear to a majority of The People that the change promised by the administration is really a move to socialism. They see that in addition to the Government takeover of huge chunks of private industry, the true hallmarks of the early days of this administration are lies, reduced transparency, extreme partisanship, thousands of earmarks and reckless, almost unquantifiable spending. Their disappointment in the administration is exacerbated by the worst kind of bare knuckles politics, brazen corruption and stunning, in your face arrogance – The Chicago Way.
Any thought that this is just another Democrat Presidency to be endured for four years have disappeared and The People are successfully mobilizing against the “remaking of America.” The battle has been joined.
Please, do your own research on the issues and don’t rely on the mainstream media for anything, including the weather. Determine for yourself how to defeat the socialist threat and be certain your elected representatives understand your expectations. Speak up. Speak out. Understand what is really happening and get involved in the political process.
Our bumper stickers don’t exactly constitute a conservative manifesto and they certainly won’t teach anyone anything, but they can be used to raise awareness. That increased awareness may be all our misguided friends need to help them understand they are losing their liberty to socialism.
